Significance:

Meher Baba’s first Sadguru, Babajan used to sit under this mango tree in the early part of 20th century. Later Meher Baba also used to sit at the same spot. During the stay of Avatar Meher Baba in Guruprasad in subsequent years, Meher Baba used to meet His lovers under the same tree, while returning to Meherazad from Pune. Subsequently, in order to construct a new bridge across the river, this part of Bund garden was used for the construction of the bridge, hence the location of the ‘Mango tree’ cannot be seen now.
